Using the Internet in the Classroom
There are a lot of positive reason to use the Internet in your classroom. Unfortunately, there are many negatives. As educators we need to help students understand the Internet and help them evaluate what they are reading. One great resource for this is found on Alan November's web site at http://www.anovember.com/infolit/. Alan has been a long time advocate of teaching students the Grammar of the Internet. Internet Hoax Lesson: I have created a simple lesson that you may want to use with your students to help them understand some of the trappings of the Internet. Visit my Whale Watching Lesson. Be sure to read the teacher page. If you use this in your classroom please e-mail me and let me know how you used it. |
